Third day of E3 today, some quick impressions: Portal 2

Other than the obvious, Portal is awesome, Valve is awesome, Portal 2 can’t not be awesome…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGlyQmmvj0w – Vacuum tubes! Walls peeling apart! Gel? Jumpy? Fast? GLADOS is even more interesting.

NINTENDO

Zelda:Not sure about the art style, but looks like a solid Zelda game with flying.

Goldeneye: Seriously? How did this ever get done? This is too fantastic.

Kirby: He’s made of string!

Metroid: Least exciting Metroid game I’ve ever seen, but still pretty great.

Donkey Kong: Oh god, yes.

Epic Mickey: Looks simple but great. I wouldn’t say ‘epic’ yet, but very good so far.

3DS: Aparently actually works, plus new Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Pilot Wings, Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, Mario Cart, Resident Evil, and SSF4.

Other

Two out of three new Sonics look good. Scott Pilgram looks good. XCOM looks good. New Xbox is shiny I guess, but you still can’t put in your own HDD. Sony and Microsoft announced some games or something, whatever, who gives a shit after Nintendo and Valve?
